Founded in 2002 by Tim and Jaime Eifert, Priority Massage and Health brings a team of London’s brightest health care professionals under one roof.

It’s a given that each member of our team is accredited in his, or her, respective field, but our staff brings more to the table than just a certificate or degree. From competitive athletic training to post-graduate education in complementary fields, our breadth of experience has led us to take a holistic approach to healthcare.

Jaime Eifert - Registered Massage Therapist, Clinic Owner
Born and raised in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Jaime Eifert spent most of her childhood in the pool, training as a competitive swimmer. This training helped foster an early appreciation for complementary therapies in general, and massage therapy in particular.

In 1997 Jaime enrolled in the massage therapy program at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology. She graduated with honours in 2000 and, together with her husband Tim Eifert, founded Priority Massage and Health in 2002.

A passion for learning led Jaime to pursue post-graduate training in Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release and Ultrasound Therapy. In 2006, following an intensive teacher training in Thailand, she became a qualified yoga instructor and she now teaches - when time permits - at Moksha Yoga London.

Jaime loves being a massage therapist, and is honoured to help others lead a healthier, more relaxed life. While she treats all kinds of conditions, Jaime takes a special interest in helping those who suffer from headaches and migraines, stress, insomnia and chronic pain.

Tim Eifert - B.H.Sc., Registered Massage Therapist, Clinic Owner
Born and raised in Stratford, Ontario, Tim graduated from London’s D’arcy Lane Institute in 2000.  Following graduation, Tim began his massage therapy career in Windsor, Ontario, at a busy chiropractic rehabilitation centre, where he became adept at orthopedic assessment.

Tim returned to London in 2001 to start up his own private practice, and in 2002 opened Priority Massage and Health with his wife Jaime. While running the clinic, Tim resumed his studies to reinforce his knowledge in anatomy, physiology and nutrition, receiving a degree in Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario in 2006.

Tim uses his orthopedic background to assess and design effective treatment strategies for sports, repetitive stress and work-related injuries. As an athlete who plays competitive baseball and hockey, Tim particularly enjoys working with elite athletes, at the varsity and professional levels, to enhance their performance and rehabilitate from injury.

Dr. Kristina Kastelanac - Naturopathic Doctor   (Dr. Kristina Kastelanac is taking over for Dr. Alana Shaw ND.)
Kristina has always been passionate about both natural healing methods and about helping others maximize their health and well being. From an early age Kristina has combined these passions by focusing her goals and energies on developing a career as a Naturopathic Doctor.

In pursuit of this, Kristina completed an honours Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario.  She continued with an intensive, 4 year, post graduate education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.  Here she completed a one year internship at the Robert Shad Naturopathic Clinic, after which she graduated as a Naturopathic Doctor.
With a strong foundation in the biomedical understanding of the human body, Kristina has also expanded her knowledge to the realm of energetic medicine. She began practicing Reiki in 2006, and has since become a certified Reiki Master.  She has been teaching Reiki to naturopaths and to the general public since 2008.

She is a registered member of the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy (BDDT-N), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).

Kristina has a keen interest in women’s health, fertility management, hormone balancing, digestive issues, depression and anxiety.  As a Naturopathic Doctor, Kristina’s goal is to treat the whole person, while addressing the root cause of disharmony within the individual.  She does this by exploring the physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual aspects of a person’s health.  Kristina uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathic remedies and nutritional and life style counselling in a holistic approach to health.  Her goal is to work with people and to help guide and empower them to live a more balanced and healthier life.

Dr. Ken Hou - B.Sc (Hons), Chiropractic Doctor, Certified Acupuncture Practitioner
In 2002, Ken received his Bachelor of Science Degree from McMaster University.  Then he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic and Acupuncture accreditation in 2006 from the  Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and the Acupuncture Council of Ontario.

Ken strongly believes in educating patients and conditioning clients in all aspects of health and fitness. His diverse background, in different modalities and skill sets, allows him to administer effective evidence-based integrated therapy.

While Ken has worked with Olympic and professional athletes, he also has an affiliation with the University of Western Ontario’s wrestling team as well as the London Wrestling Club. Ken’s primary interests are the treatment of acute injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, wellness, care and, most importantly, helping patients live a pain-free and healthy life.

During his free time, Ken enjoys playing ice hockey and golf. He also has a keen interest in aviation and is hoping to obtain his private pilot’s license in the near future. Ken is a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and the Acupuncture Council of Ontario.

Katie Vanderknaap - Registered Massage Therapist
Katie Vanderknaap was born in the Netherlands and moved to Canada in 1985. She graduated with a B.A. Honours in Criminology from the University of Windsor where she was a member of both the varsity volleyball and soccer teams. Her degree led her to British Columbia, where she worked as a counselor for troubled youth and women, an experience she credits with fostering her excellent communication skills.

While in British Columbia, Katie kept her interest in sports, and in 2000 competed in the Subaru Ironman Canada in Penticton. During her training for this event Katie recognized the value of alternative methods for healing sports related injuries: she found that her injuries responded well to massage therapy, but she also saw that regular treatments improved her athletic abilities and gave her an overall sense of well-being.

Before long, massage therapy became her new career focus. In 2007 Katie completed the two-year intensive massage therapy program at Medix in London.

Katie finds fulfillment in helping people obtain their optimal health. She enjoys spending her free time giving back to the community and has been a volunteer massage therapist for various community events including the Terry Fox Run, the MS Bike tour, the Run for the Cure, and the New York City Marathon.

Rachel Guymer - Registered Massage Therapist
Rachel has been a Londoner all of her life.  She graduated from London’s D’arcy Lane Institute of Massage in 1999, and has been practicing full time as a therapist since then.

Rachel has always been interested in health sciences and continuously challenges herself to learn more about the human body – how it functions normally and how to fix it when injury occurs. Because of this thirst for knowledge, Rachel is well versed in workplace injuries, repetitive strain injuries and sports related injuries. Rachel specializes in deep tissue massage, ultrasound and myofascial release.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys staying active participating in adventure racing, running and football. She is also an avid traveller and enjoys cooking foods from around the world.

David Cousins - Registered Massage Therapist
David Cousins is a graduate from London’s D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy and has been a practicing therapist since 2001.

As a former pro beach volleyball player,  David understands how strenuous, repetitive activity can have a negative effect on the body. He brings this experience, together with his knowledge of active release and deep tissue massage, as he counsels his clients on effective treatment of their sports-related injuries.

David regularly donates his time as a massage therapist to such causes as Sick Kids Hospital, Run for Retina and Walk for Life. His personal interests include beach volleyball (he runs the Beach Volleyball Academy), weight training, golf and watching movies.

Stacey Tarkowski - HBA Kinesiology, Registered Massage Therapist
Stacey has also been a Londoner all of her life. As an athletic and energetic teenager she was always fascinated with anatomy and human health. She played competitive fast ball and ran track and cross country all through school. After graduating from A.B. Lucas Secondary School, she decided to pursue a career in the health care field, enrolling and graduating from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Kinesiology Degree in 2007. Once completed, she felt compelled to continue her education and began the intensive but rewarding program at the D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy. She graduated in the spring of 2009 with Honours.

Stacey has experience playing numerous sports but has a fondness towards hockey, baseball and running. She has worked as an athletic trainer for various sports teams including the UWO Men’s Lacrosse Team and the London Falcons Junior Football Team. She frequently volunteers at the Fowler-Kennedy Clinic (City Plaza) and with assorted running teams and charities including The Terry Fox Run and the Canadian Diabetes Association. Stacey is continuously stoking her passion for learning by taking courses and attending seminars. She loves a challenge and gets a lot of fulfillment in helping her clients achieve their desired goals whether that is healing from an injury, preventative therapy or relaxation.
